Vegan Pear Chocolate Cake

A chocolate lover's dream-this cake is not only topped with tantalizing bits of dark chocolate, but the addition to marinated pears pushed on the top of the cake before the bake is divine. A cake to be remembered, delicious bite by delicious bite.

  • 1 brush coconut oil for baking form
  • 1 pinch flour for baking form
  • 100 grams bitter chocolate dark for vegan version
  • 2 small pears skinned, pitted and cut into squares
  • 1 tsp orange juice fresh squeezed
  • 50 grams corn starch
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 100 grams brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 200 grams flour
  • 60 grams cacao powder
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 150 grams raps oil or neutral oil
  • 200 ml rice milk


  • prepare your spring form and set aside. heat oven to 170 degrees Celsius
  • prepare your chocolate by finely shredding half, then breaking into small pieces with the other half
  • cut, skin and de-seed the pear, cutting it into small squares and marinate in freshly squeezed orange juice. set aside.
  • assemble your dry ingredients in a separate bowl
  • combine the rice milk and oil
  • mix wet with dry and wisk. Add about 80 ml. of water in addition until it's a smooth typical cake batter
  • pour into form and smooth top
  • add the pear slices, and push in, using a spoon, you'll also have some of the orance juice in the addition.
  • add the chocolate
  • bake for the first 30 min, then take out and cover with foil for the final 25-30 min.
  • slice, and enjoy
